The idea
A monthly FOI Magazine project is not only a set of photographs. It is a temporary world with its own architecture, emotional temperature and point of view. FOI Music gives that world a second life after the camera stops by translating the same concept into songs.
One idea translated through camera, set, colour and sound. For FOI Music, the purpose is always to keep the emotional meaning clear while giving the listener enough space to form a personal relationship with the work.
How the craft supports it
We collect words from the visual treatment: candle, corridor, velvet, morning, distance, hunger, memory. Those words become decisions about tempo, voice, harmony and instrumentation. The album does not narrate every photograph; it creates the air that connects them.
A strong production decision should still make sense when the visual reference is removed. Sound and image can belong to the same world without one becoming dependent on the other.
A practical way to begin
Treat the soundtrack as part of pre-production. Build a short sonic palette before the shoot, then revise it after seeing the final colour grade and human performances. The result is a project that can be watched, heard and remembered as one body of work.
Begin with one honest intention, test it in the real context where the work will be experienced, and remove anything that competes with that intention.
